Höheres Kommando z.b.V. LXV was formed on 21 May 1941 in WK II. From autumn 1941 until February 1942 the HQ simultaneously took over the duties of the parallel High Command in Serbia, the Bevollmächtigter Kommandierender General in Serbien (as there was no new cdr. appointed for that HQ during this time period). With effect of 1 March 1942 these two HQ merged into the new single High Command, called Kommandierender General und Befehlshaber in Serbien, the only military commander in Serbia from then on.
