The 363. Volksgrenadier-Division was formed in September 1944 at Truppenübungsplatz Wildflecken / Rhön from the partially formed 566. Volksgrenadier-Division. It fought the US 101st Airborne Division at Nijmegen, the British at Arnhem, the US forces at the Roer River and was destroyed in the Ruhr pocket in April 1945.
