The Panzer-Kompanie 81 was formed as a panzer company equipped with captured French tanks attached to the LXXXI Armee-Korps in June 1942. It was in Yvelot when the landings at Dieppe were made and was ordered to march to Tourville to join 302. Infanterie-Division to help fight the Canadian forces.
It was used to form Panzer-Regiment 100 in January 1943.
