Operational History

11-12 Aug 42: local militia from the Battalion together with troops from the Ustasha “Black Legion” successfully defended Kupres against a concerted attack by elements of four Partisan brigades.
May 43: Kupres with 4 companies.
9 Aug 43: Kupres under Croatian III Corps (HQ Sarajevo).
Jun 44: Bn. HQ with 1st – 4th Co. now in Travnik with 477 men under I Ustasha Brigade.
25 Jul 44: all or elements of the Battalion identified in Donji Vakuf.
4 Sep 44: 1st Co. in Komar/20 km WSW of Travnik attached to the Mobile Brigade (Brzi zdrug).
13-14 Sep 44: Bn. lost 5 killed and 12 wounded when the town of Turbe was taken by elements of the Partisan 10th Assault Division.
20-22 Oct 44: Bn. in Travnik - the town was attacked and overrun by units of Partisan 5th Corps. The Battalion was destroyed in the fighting and very few men are believed to have survived.
