Formed fall 1943 from local militia raised in the Dubrovnik-Metković area following the surrender of Italy. The Battalion ultimately reached a strength of approximately 1,600 men. Disbanded on or about 1 April 1944 and used to form IV and V Bn./9th Garrison Brigade. (1)
