Only one is mentioned in the surviving documents and that was in Banja Luka in January 1943. There were certainly a number of others since the entire Croatian armed forces depended heavily on horse-drawn transport. Nearly all of the field units had a veterinary company or platoon as part of its composition. There was also a central veterinary establishment in Zagreb that provided veterinary replacement personnel to Croatian field units. It was probably both a medical facility and a school.
