Established August 1941 in Zagreb and accepted applicants in ages 15 to 22. In early 1943 the School moved from Zagreb to Osijek. Sometime after its move it was renamed Central NCO School. On 13 October 1943 it reported 400 students in attendance. Its composition on 10 September 1944 was given as: HQ, Infantry Bn. (1st – 4th Co.), Technical Co. During September the School was mobilized into a composite battalion of 675 men and transported to Virovitica where it was destroyed in two days of heavy fighting with the 12th Division NOVJ on 4-5 October. Of its total strength, 427 were reported killed or missing. On 14 October the remnants were assembled in Osijek, but the School is not mentioned after this date. (1)
