Formed on or about 21 August 1943 in Zagreb for assignment to the 3d Mountain Brigade with Group HQ (new), HQ Battery (new), 1st Battery (ex-mountain gun battery/III Mountain Brigade) and 2d Battery (ex-3d Battery/II Artillery Group). (1)


Operational History

Sep 43: departed Zagreb for 3d Mountain Brigade and by 10 October 1st Battery (4 x 7.5 cm guns) was in Sanski Most and 2d Battery (3 x 10 cm guns) was in Prijedor.
8-9 May 44: provided artillery support for Operation “Reinhard” southwest of Prijedor, which was immediately followed by Operation “Kastanie” in the same area between 11 and 12 May.
1 Jun 44: Group HQ with 1st and 2d Batteries still under 3d Mountain Brigade, but by this date had lost 3 of its 7.5 cm mountain guns.
1 Jul 44: entire Group transferred back to Zagreb (probably to refit and re-equip).
25 Nov 44: Group elements noted as being tactically under the Banja Luka Brigade.
1 Dec 44: remnants possibly incorporated into the new 6th Croatian Infantry Division.
