Formed November 1941 in Sarajevo with Group HQ and 1st – 3d Batteries.

Operational History

15-23 Jan 42: 2d Battery provided artillery support for Operation “Süd-Kroatien.”
24-28 Aug 42: Group elements participated in Operation “S” near Vlasenica.
Oct 42: elements supported Operations “Jajce I” and “Jajce II.”
29 Nov – 6 Dec 42: took part in Operation “Jajce III.”
16-23 Dec 42: elements participated in Operation “Travnik.”
15 Jan 43: Sarajevo assigned to 6th Infantry Division.
12-13 Feb 43: Group lost 3 killed and 16 injured when a train they were aboard was derailed by Partisan sabotage 10 km southeast of Travnik.
18 Feb 43: reassigned to 4th Jäger Brigade effective this date.
20 Feb – 2 Mar 43: elements supported Operation “Konjic.”
12 Apr 43: Sarajevo and Zenica under 4th Jäger Brigade with HQ, 1st – 3d Batteries and 4th (HQ) Battery.
12 Aug 43: now in Kozarac under 4th Jäger Brigade.
21 Aug 43: reorganized to conform to German-dictated organizational tables with HQ, HQ Battery and 1st – 2d Batteries.
Sep 43: home garrison now in Ivanjska.
10 Oct 43: Ivanjska under 4th Jäger Brigade.
9 Nov 43: now stationed in Banja Luka and remained there to May 1944.
16 May 44: ordered to transfer to Prijedor and still there on 1 September.
7 Sep 44: believed destroyed in Prijedor when the town assaulted and taken by the Partisan 4th Division this date. In any event, it is not again mentioned.
