Ordered formed 21 July 1941 in Zagreb for assignment to the Savska Territorial Division. (1)

Operational History

1941: Zagreb assigned to 1st Infantry Division with HQ Battery and 1st – 3d Batteries.
Jun 42: 3d Battery attached to the Banja Luka Brigade for Operation “West-Bosnien.”
Sep 42: entire Group now back in Zagreb.
12-19 Oct 42: elements took part in Operation “Kozara.”
22-23 Jan 43: 1st Battery (howitzers) supported attacks in the Glina area by German 369. Inf.Rgt. during the opening phase of Operation “Weiss”.
31 Jan 43: 2d Battery deployed in Sarajevo, probably as part of the “Weiss” operation.
27 Feb – 8 Mar 43: 1st and 2d Batteries took part in Operation “Mirko” in the Kalnik and Bilogora Mountains to the east of Zagreb.
Jun 43: Group HQ, 2d and 4th (HQ) Batteries in Zagreb, 1st and 3d Batteries in the field attached to 1st Mountain Division.
2-3 Jul 43: elements participated in Operation “Cyrill” in the Ivanić Grad area/SE of Zagreb.
21 Aug 43: Group in Zagreb being reorganized for assignment to 3d Mountain Brigade; 1st Battery was rebuilt (ex-3d Battery/VII Artillery Group).
13-14 Sep 43: Zagreb - 36 men deserted to the Partisans while on detached duty in Karlovac.
Oct 43: departed Zagreb during the second half of October and by 31 October stationed in Prijedor with 1st and 2d Batteries.
20 Nov 43: transferred to Karlovac and assigned to I Operations Sector/Croatian I Corps with 5 field guns, 8 officers, 15 NCOs and 168 men.
Jun – Jul 44: transferred to Banja Luka for assignment to 3d Mountain Brigade and is believed to have been destroyed there in heavy fighting on 18 September.
