Formed 15 September 1942 in Slavonska Požega by reorganizing and renaming the original Signal Battalion. On formation it had a HQ, 1st (Telephone) Co. and 2d (Radio/Telegraph) Co. (1)

27 Feb 43: elements participated in Operation “Grün” in the Krndija and Dilj Mountains in Slavonia.
15 Jul 43: Sl. Požega with the same composition - a number of trained personnel were used this date to form the Signal Co. of the 3d Mountain Brigade.
1 Apr 44: Sl. Požega - renamed the II Replacement Signal Detachment on of about this date.
