Formed fall 1942, probably in Zagreb, to guard the railway line between Zagreb and Zemun, and between Bosanski Brod and Sarajevo. (1)
Nov 42: Sisak area/48 km SSE of Zagreb in formation.
Feb 43: Bn. HQ in Lekenik/29 km SSE of Zagreb under Railway Security Sector A.
16-17 Jul 43: the Battalion’s railway guard contingent in Lekenik was overrun during a bold night attack by elements of the 13th Proletarian NOU Brigade “Rade Končar” and local Partisans - an estimated 100 men from the Battalion were captured.
Sep 43: HQ in Lekenik with 1st, 3d and 4th Co. assigned to Railway Security Sector A. Said to be at only 62% of its authorized strength.
30 Apr 44: Bn. HQ in Velika Gorica, 1st Co. in Lekenik, 2d Co. in Sv. Klara, 3d Co. in Greda and 4th Co. in Caprag - now under Railway Security Sector E.
Sep 44: responsible for the track section between Velika Gorica and Caprag (Railway Security Sector E).
1 Dec 44: now in the strength of just one company, Battalion reassigned to the newly formed 19th (Domobran) Infantry Brigade/14th Croatian Infantry Division on or about this date.
