This brigade was supposed to have been formed on 1 December 1944 at the same time as the 21st and 23d (Domobran) Infantry Replacement Brigades were formed, but there is no evidence that this was carried out. Formation would have been through the renaming of the II (Domobran) Replacement Brigade (HQ in Vinkovci), but military reverses in Syrmia and south Slavonia in November 1944 resulted in the brigade being disbanded and its assets parceled out to other units.
