Formed 20 May 1944 with HQ in Mostar as a territorial command with the authority of a corps. Subordinated to Croatian III Corps (HQ in Sarajevo), its task was to inspect all Croatian military units in its area of responsibility and conduct courts martial proceedings as appropriate. On formation the HQ and staff had an authorized strength of 11 officers, 13 NCOs and 55 men. Disbanded in February 1945 following the German-Croatian fighting withdrawal from south Dalmatia and Hercegovina.
