(I. ustaška doknadna bojna)
by H.L. deZeng IV

Only two references to this battalion have been found. In May 1942, a Replacement Battalion of the Ustasha Militia (Doknadna bojna Ust. Vojnica) took part in Phase III of the Petrova gora operation in the Kordun (9-15 May) attached to the Utinjski Brigade. Two years later, on 30 April 1944, the I Ustasha Replacement Battalion was identified somewhere in the triangle Zagreb – Sisak – Karlovac – Zagreb with a Bn. HQ and 1st – 4th Co. At that time it was tactically subordinate to the German Eisenbahnsicherungsstab Kroatien, Abschnitt A (Railway Security Staff Croatia, Sector A) in Zagreb. (1)
