Formed in April 1939, and from the outbreak of war to spring 1940 it was used in the North Sea for mine defence, Channel passes, Merchant War & escort duties. At the invasion of Norway the Flottille was used there for security duties & escort tasks, after that campaigned it was utilised again in the North Sea & West. The Flottille was dissolved in February 1941.
