Panzer-Regiment von Lauchert

The Panzer-Regiment von Lauchert (sometimes listed as Pantherregiment von Lauchert) was formed in June 1943 and was used for Operation Zitadelle at Kursk and controlled Panzer-Abteilung 51 and Panzer-Abteilung 52, both equipped with the new Panther tanks. The Panzer-Brigade 10 under Oberst Decker was attached to Panzergrenadier-Division Großdeutschland and given the command of Panzer-Regiment von Lauchert and Panzer-Regiment Großdeutschland.
On 17 July Panzer-Abteilung 51 was removed from the regiment and on 28 July Panzer-Abteilung 52 was also removed, leaving only Stab Panzer-Regiment 39 and the regiment ceased to exist.
