The Panzer-Division Clausewitz was formed in April 1945 from a mix of sources including the Panzer-Division Holstein, surviving elements from Panzer-Brigade 106 Feldherrnhalle, Ersatz-Brigade Feldherrnhalle and boys from the Hitler Jugend. Its formation was not complete when the war ended but some elements of it fought well against the Allied forces despite the hopeless situation.
