The Battalion Ettore Muti (Battaglione di Combattimento Volontari Italiani "Ettore Muti") was formed in September 1943 in Florence. It served as an anti-partisan force in Florence until August 1944 when it was sent to first Bologna and then Schio. It was disbanded in Verona in April 1945.
