Known war crimes
Men from this unit were involved in the forced evacuation of 250 Jews from the area of Heydekrug (Šilutė) in present day Lituania to labour camps in June 1941 and the shooting of at least 220 Jews in the city of Naumiestis in July 1941. Two members of the unit were sentenced to prisor for these crimes post war.Men from this unit were also involved in several other crimes against Jews in this area 1941-1943 including deportations, killings of individual Jews as well as mass shootings. Two members of the unit were sentenced to life in prisor for these crimes post-war. (1)
