Bund Deutscher Mädel (BDM) - Landdienst: This was essentially the counterpart to the HJ-Landdienst. BDM-Landdienst girls focused primarily on agricultural and husbandry issues. As with the boys of the non HJ-Landdienst organizations, the non BDM-Landdienst girls also had to complete their obligatory yearly "Landjahr" service, usually in the fall during the harvest season.
