HJ-Schnellkommando members were essentially a sub-component of the HJ-Streifendienst. These emergency squads were used primarily as ad hoc auxiliaries by the German police to perform special duties as assigned. For the most part, they assisted during air raids and other like-minded emergency situations. The HJ-Schnellkommando members wore the same black cuff band with the "Streifendienst" inscription, as did all HJ-Streifendienst members.
