HJ-Feldschere were essentially the same thing as HJ-Ärtzte. They would be trained primarily in first aid skills with a goal towards having them serve as ambulance drivers or as medical personnel in the field. The appropriate medical training was provided by fully certified HJ doctors or other certified medical practitioners as the situation required. Upon graduation, the HJ-Feldschere member would receive a special Feldscher Abzeichen (medical service badge).
