The Infanterie-Division Böhmen was formed in April 1944 in Truppenübungsplatz Milowitz as a Schatten-Division (Shadow-Division, used to reinforce other units or to be upgraded into a normal division). It was used to strengthen 198. Infanterie-Division and to form 237. Infanterie-Division in June 1944.
